Allow us to introduce the Montessori Association of Thailand (MAT), a dynamic force driving an educational revolution in this beautiful country. Led by passionate individuals like Kannekar Butt and supported by the dedicated team of Australian Thai Montessori Supporters (ATM’s), MAT has partnered with the Montessori Australia Foundation (MAF) to extend the reach and influence of Montessori education across Thailand.
Since our inception in 2010, we have been on an extraordinary journey of promoting Montessori principles in early education. Our focus on AMI training, particularly in the Assistants to Infancy program, has empowered educators to create nurturing environments that facilitate the holistic development of our young learners. We provide mentorship for the 3-6 age group and actively support the growth of the 6-12 plans.
Our impact has been far-reaching, with over 200 schools touched by our efforts and thousands of visitors from both governmental and private sectors inspired by the Montessori approach. Our mission is to ignite a passion for Montessori education in individuals from all walks of life and encourage its implementation in diverse educational settings.
But our aspirations extend beyond Thailand’s borders. The ATM team has participated in EsF gatherings in Italy and Spain, lending support to AMI’s EsF initiatives in various countries. Our commitment to spreading the Montessori philosophy knows no bounds.
